3rd annual Standing Stone Traditional Central Pa 3-D Rendezvous June 20-21, 2009

The Standing Stone Traditional Archers of Central Pennsylvania will be holding our 3rd annual traditional only 3-d rendezvous on June 20-21, 2009. Vendors will be present and all vendors welcomed.

Thier is NO Fee to park at the shoot.
Their is NO "admission" fee for Spectators/Nonshooters.
Vendors it is Free to set up.
Basicly other than food and drink if it isn't listed on the flyer it is Free.

Classes:
Men's 16 and up
Women's 16 and up
Juniors 11-15
Kids 10 and under

Courses:
2- 20 Target Fun courses $10 shoot all weekend
1- 10 Target blunt course included with fun course fee
*Kids 10 and under shoot the fun and blunt courses for free with a paying adult.
1- 20 Target competition course $10 no re-entry not open to kids class
1- 10 Target Trail of tears iron man course $2 re-entry
Aerials will begin at 1pm on Saturday $2 for set of 10. All money from the aerial shoot will go to the Childrens Miracle Network.

Shoot times: Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 8am-1pm

Kitchen will be open both days 8am-6pm Sat. and 8am-2pm Sun. serving a hot breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Free camping on club grounds on a first come first served basis. Firewood and water provided. NO HOOKUPS!!! Please call or email to reserve your space. Alternate camping is available for a fee at two campgrounds 3.5 miles from club and two motles are also available 4 miles from club. Please call or email for more informaiton.

Gates will open at 12:00 noon on Friday June 19th for campers and the pratice range will also open at that time.

Equipment Rules:
No mechanical release aids
No sights of any kind
No string walking
No wheels or cables
Wood, carbon and aluminum arrows are allowed
Please NO pets.

We are approx 2 hours from Baltimore, 3 hours from Philly and Pittsbrug, 4 hours from New York and Erie and 41/2-5 hours from Richmond.

Directions:
From 22/322 East and Westbound: Take the Port Royal exit and go right. At the blinking red light go straight. Go approximately 2 miles through the town of Port Royal and make a right at Taylor's Garage onto route 333. Go approximately 1.2 miles and club drive will be on the right.

From Route 75: You will need to make immediate left a Taylor's Garage just before you reach the town of Port Royal. After making the left on to route 333, go approximately 1.2 miles club drive will be on the right.

Tenitive menue and prices:
prices may change if the stores jack up the prices again.

Lunch and Dinner: Hotdog $1, Hamburger $1.75, Fries $1, Cheesestake $3-$4, Meatball sub $3-$4, Meat pies $2, Soda and water $.50, Coffee $.25 a cup

Breakfast: Eggs, Waffles, Sausage, Toast, Orange juice. I am not sure of the breakfast prices yet.

October 26, 2008 Traditional Only Fun Shoot

Sunday October 26, 2008. We will be holding a Traditional only fun shoot.

We will have 30 targets, all Pa animals (mostly deer, bear and turkey).

Registration will be open from 8am-2pm

Shoot all day for $5.00

Kitchen will be open.

Directions:From 22/322 Eastbound or Westbound: Take the Port Royal Exit and go right. At the blinking red light go straight. From the blinking red light go approximately 2 mile through the town of Port Royal, and make a right at Taylor’s Garage onto route 333. Go approximately 1.2 mile and club drive will be on your right.
From Route 35: Go to the Red Light in Mifflintown; the Juniata County Court House, Juniata Valley Bank, and First National Bank will be at the intersection. (At the light- if you were heading eastbound towards Selinsgrove turn right, if you were heading westbound towards Shade Gap turn left) Go approximately 2 mile to the blinking red light. At the blinking red light turn right. From there go approximately 2 mile through the town of Port Royal, and make a right at Taylor’s Garage onto route 333. Go approximately 1.2 mile and club drive will be on your right.
From Route 75: You will need to make immediate left at Taylor’s Garage just before you reach the town of Port Royal. After making the left on to route 333, go approximately 1.2 mile and club drive will be on your right.(If you come to the Port Royal river bridge you went too far.)

Free camping available on site on a first come first serve basis. Firwood and water provided. NO HOOKUPS. Alternate camping available for a fee at campgrounds (3.5 miles from club). Motels available 4 miles from club.

Equipment Rules:

  1. No mechanical release aids: Bow must be hand held, hand drawn, and hand released by bare fingers, glove or tab.
  2. Index finger must touch nock at all times. Split finger release and three under release allowed.
  3. No sights of any kind: there will be no markings on the bow or the string that could be constured as sighting marks.
  4. No string walking
  5. No wheels or cables: recurves, longbows, selfbows, flatbows and asiatic bows are allowed.
  6. Arrows of aluminum, wood, and carbon are allowed
  7. shooter must be touching the appropriate shooting stake for their class with some part of their body during the shot.

Pets:

Due to previous problems the club asks that you do not bring any pets.
